Dr. Jennifer Kargel, my practice partner at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and Plano, performed a reconstruction of the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon to return a young athlete back to competitive horseback riding.  This surgery consisted of using a strip of fibrous tissue from the natural ligamentous system of the wrist to secure movement of the extensor tendon.
